Why choose an LED pendant light?

The benefits are numerous. We will also discuss other technological advancements and the combinations that make these lamps even more appealing to incorporate into your home!

- LED bulbs are energy-efficient: The pendant light you choose for your home will use up to 60% less energy than a halogen model, and 90% less than an incandescent bulb!

- LED lights are dimmable: Modern technology has enabled the creation of dimmable lighting. This means that your modern pendant light is equipped with a dimmer built into the lamp, adjustable via a remote control. This allows you to lower or increase the number of lumens and kelvins, and thus vary the color temperature until your family's visual comfort is optimal in every room.

- Motion detectors: This is slightly different from the LED itself, but a motion detector can be an integral part of a pendant LED light, helping you save even more energy if you forget to turn off the light!

How can I reduce glare from my chandeliers and pendant lights?

If you are unable to afford technologies that allow you to adjust the light source, here are your options for creating soft lighting:

- Choose a lampshade or a colored bulb: you can choose lampshades or tinted bulbs with a very stylish look. Smoked glass, for example, is a smart choice for reducing the intensity of the bulb. A white frosted glass lampshade is also a good choice for lighting a child's bedroom and giving the room a "full moon" effect.

- Opt for indirect lighting: If your LED bulbs are too bright, position your pendant light so that it projects its light onto the wall before reflecting it into the rest of the room.

- Choose an openwork design: A pendant light such as a natural wood chandelier or a cord-suspended lamp, allowing light to shine through holes in the wood, is an excellent way to reduce light intensity while providing warm white light.

What lighting power do I need for my pendant light?

It is important to calculate the wattage of the bulb (generally between 5 and 20 watts for LEDs) by checking the square footage of the room. The light output should be harmonious. A bulb with an average light output for a 20-square-meter room corresponds to approximately 2,000 lumens, or 100 lumens per square meter for a living room, kitchen, or hallway. For a bathroom, you need approximately 300 lumens per square meter, providing white light as close as possible to daylight so you can get ready in complete comfort.

Ceiling height also requires a more or less powerful light output. A ceiling height below 1.80 meters is considered low. Above 2.50 meters, there are very few restrictions on brightness, and you can choose from a wide range of models in our online store.

How should I arrange the wired pendant light?

Place it alone above a beautiful dining table if the general lighting will be powerful enough to illuminate the entire room harmoniously while maintaining a high level of visual comfort. If the light output of the fixture is low and you enjoy warm atmospheres, you can arrange two or three pendant lights in a row to form a trio. Each spotlight will thus cast its own light, and you can play with different colors on each lampshade!

What type of pendant light should I choose?

From our wide range, you have the choice of two distinct models.

- The first type of fixture includes a socket for attaching an E14 or E27 bulb. This allows you to replace the bulb whenever you like.

- The second type of fixture already includes one or more LED spotlights built into the pendant lights. You will not need to replace them, and you need not worry! This type of modern bulb has a lifespan of approximately 50,000 hours.

As for colors, you have plenty of choices here too! Black and gray for industrial looks, white for Nordic style... make your selection and feel free to email us if you need recommendations on our designer pendant lights!
