The wooden chandelier: An authentic look in your home
The natural wood in all its forms is an excellent choice to create a warm atmosphere in the evening, as well as during the nightfall. Whether it is in the form of a round pendant light with holes, or in the form of slats, the wooden chandelier knows how to create a beautiful play of shadows on your ceiling.
Quality wooden chandeliers for your home
The different types of ceiling lights that we offer online come in light woods such as beech, birch, ash and oak. They therefore feature a clean Scandinavian style that fits very well in a designer interior with light decor (beige, white, yellow...).
We also offer wooden chandeliers in rattan and bamboo, ideal for enhancing a Japanese bathroom, or any exotic interior or even bohemian space. Darker wood species such as elderberry, mahogany, or aged pine help to bring out the southern and Mediterranean atmosphere.
In short, a wooden chandelier comes in a wide range of choices and allows for limitless art deco!
Which wooden chandelier to choose?
Depending on the cocoon of light you want to create, we will offer you various types of wooden chandeliers that match your interior.
Choose according to the size of the space: If your living room or dining room is less than 20 square meters, opt for a natural wooden chandelier with slats to evenly distribute the light flow. It is a common and highly appreciated geometric shape for the play of shadows it provides! The general lighting will be evenly distributed while creating a soft glow. To achieve this, brown woods such as pine or rattan are relevant choices. A room of more than 20 square meters can accommodate a larger pendant chandelier, complemented by one or more wall lights, or even a table lamp. This will create a touch of grandeur. You can also choose to install a trio of lamps to illuminate while creating a very original decorative style!
Hang your chandelier in the right place: Choose a dining table, a headboard, a hallway, or a coffee table above which to install your pendant lamp. The light emitted by your large chandelier should provide functional lighting while highlighting your meal, or allowing you to read casually in your bedroom. It should not be forgotten that a chandelier, whether made of wood, glass, or metal, must provide good visual comfort, while enhancing the space with its warm white lighting.
Choose the type of wood suited to the interior decor: If you have metal decor and an industrial-style living room or entrance hall, then opt for a metal & wood design, or even dark wood. To do this, you can choose a contrast with a linear rectangular base, on which is located a metal pendant lamp and an LED bulb. You can also choose a wooden spotlight framed by black metal such as aluminum or wrought iron.
For a Scandinavian living room or kitchen, we offer online a selection of rattan chandeliers or white wood, or even light beige chandeliers. Since the Nordic style is naturally light and clean, opt for pendant light models with delicate curves and a light lampshade, made of plastic or wood. You must preserve the minimalist atmosphere of the Nordic interior, with light furniture, an animal skin on the floor, and a coffee table.
What lighting for my wooden lamp?
LED bulbs or halogen are common. Most of the time, a wooden lamp suspended from the ceiling by a cord will be equipped with light spots inside it, which offer a lighting life of 50,000 hours. You will therefore not need to change the bulb, nor even have the opportunity to do so because you will have them for years. On the other hand, for a designer chandelier with an accessible screw-in bulb, you can vary the types of bulbs (smoked glass, frosted glass...) to create a nice contrast and vary the brightness.
At best, we recommend purchasing or installing a dimmer switch that can be adjusted via a remote control. A motion sensor can also be chosen, which allows for good energy savings while emitting enough watts to illuminate the entire room! Feel free to also discover our collection of metal chandeliers!
