The LED wall light: A masterpiece of interior decoration!

When the finesse and warm design of a beautiful decorative wall light are combined with the high technology of LED light, the result is an interior light fixture that is both functional and highly decorative. A ceiling light, on the other hand, is not necessarily decorative; it may serve only as general lighting without being chosen specifically for its design. Much like an accent lamp, LED wall lights have the particularity of being beautiful to look at even when they are turned off. This is probably thanks to their original arrangement, as if they were floating on the wall.

LED technology has enabled a wide range of wall light designs

One of the greatest advantages of LED technology for wall light designers (as well as pendant lights and chandeliers) is its compact and embeddable nature. LED bulbs can be much smaller than traditional halogen or incandescent bulbs while offering the same light intensity.

This allows a designer of interior and exterior lighting to create a wide variety of shapes and wall light styles. This has made it possible to create minimalist, slim designs (track lighting), or lights integrated into structures where traditional bulbs could not be placed.

In addition, LEDs are energy-efficient and highly durable. This also makes it possible to experiment with wall lights of varying intensities, colored lighting effects... LEDs also generate much less heat than halogen bulbs, which makes a wall light in direct contact with a wall safer.

The available LED wall light styles

There are about as many as your imagination can conceive. Before choosing a type of light fixture, think about what would look good in your living room, dining room, kitchen, or bathroom.

If your room, such as the living room or bedroom, is Nordic in style, with pastel, gray, and neutral white accents, opt for wall lights in light woods such as beech or maple. Their colors, ranging from beige to light brown, blend perfectly into this type of setting! Polycarbonate plastic wall lights with colored shades in similar hues are also good choices. You can vary them with light blue, ochre yellow, or dark green. Within our wide range, we have an entire world of designer wall lights for your living room!

For industrial-style living spaces, black aluminum wall lights are lightweight and durable over time, making them an excellent choice that complements the decor. A model with a polished or antiqued nickel shade for a retro look also adds a touch of charm to your interior.

For hallways, opt for minimalist designs. The LED wall lights you install in this passageway will serve, along with any other lights in the room, to provide an intense light output. Functional lighting will allow you to tie your shoelaces, check the cleanliness of your suit, or move around in the middle of the night. For this purpose, square-type recessed LED panels with multiple spotlights are an excellent choice.

A child's bedroom, or the master bedroom, can also feature a magnificent designer wall light. A smart lamp with a control bar is then recommended to vary the intensity of the light output. Indeed, to create an atmosphere conducive to sleep in the evening for both your children and yourself, buy a model with a dimmable bulb as well as a dimmer. In a space like a bedroom, you can then adjust the number of lumens (intensity), as well as the Kelvin to switch from a white light to a soft yellow light. If you do not have the budget for such technology, a light fixture with indirect lighting directed at the wall before reflecting onto the headboard offers a similar result.

For the kitchen, LED wall lights are also stylish, but like hallway lights, they are primarily intended, like any table or pendant lamp in this area, to provide clear and powerful illumination when preparing food.

As for the exterior of the house, one or more beautiful glass or metal wall lights offer good resistance to the elements, are easy to maintain, and create a warm welcome. However, IP ratings will be mandatory

An LED wall light for the bathroom

Bathroom light fixtures, whatever they may be, should generally be recessed or installed by a professional such as an electrician. The humidity in this room also requires a certain level of protection rating for your wall lights. An IP44 rating is the minimum to prevent damage caused by splashes and steam, while IP65 is even better and preferable for this type of designer wall light, especially if your chandelier or lamp is close to a water source.

In the bathroom, the lighting should come as close as possible to natural light. The LED bulb should be directed toward the sink or mirror so that you can see what you are doing. This is why a spotlight-style lamp is ideal for creating a focused light output.
