Wooden wall lamp

Wooden wall lights: A natural touch for inside or outside your home!

Offering a soft and natural lighting atmosphere, wooden wall lights will quickly become an essential feature in your home or apartment. Every room in your home can be fitted with one or more beautiful wooden wall lights, whether as individual wall spotlights or as beautiful designer pendant lights at the entrance to the living room.

Most of the wall light models we offer in our wide range of lighting fixtures provide a decorative atmosphere, as well as adjustable lighting via a dimmer built into each LED bulb. You can illuminate your home while personalizing your visual comfort.

What wooden wall lights are in fashion?

In the world of interior design, a wooden wall light can take the form of a pendant light, a recessed bedside lamp, or even a wall spotlight placed around the room to create accent lighting in specific areas, such as the entrance to a hallway or a small bookcase. What is certain is that the wooden structure brings a sense of authenticity and calm to every room in the home.

What's more, it is a material that complements all types of décor! Whether Scandinavian, from which it obviously originates, industrial, or Mediterranean, depending on the type of wood chosen. For the latter, we think of rattan or bamboo.

We often find 3 types of wood for lighting fixtures

- The reclaimed wood wall light: It gives the home a retro vintage style. It is a choice that offers an extremely warm and authentic look! For every wooden lamp tells its own unique story.

It is all the more beautiful when the light emitted by the LED or compact fluorescent bulb shines through the reclaimed wood, creating a lovely contrast between modern technology and a natural, historic material that is brought back to life.

- The driftwood wall light: Want to give your interior a nautical, minimalist look? A recessed light source with a driftwood structure creates a warm, elegant atmosphere in the living room or kitchen.

It is a wood that tells its own unique story, having traveled for a long time, drifting with the tides! Before ending up illuminating your home as a beautiful bedroom wall light or dining room light.

- Young wood: A piece of young wood will be cut and made into a superb wall lamp. It is a type of wood that creates a dynamic, refreshed atmosphere in your interior, especially if a layer of varnish covers the structure. We love offering Scandinavian or industrial wooden wall lights in stock, combined with an aluminum structure.

The combination of the two materials creates a stunning result. The ideal combination for decorating a loft!

Personally, we prefer young wood for outdoor wall lights. This allows you to preserve your reclaimed wood lighting indoors and extend its lifespan while letting its charm shine for your guests.

Then remember to stain your wooden outdoor wall light to protect it from the elements, and choose an outdoor wall lamp model with an IP protection rating against the elements. IP44, or preferably IP65, to safely house all types of bulbs (with E14 or E27 bases...).

What lighting is best for a wooden wall light?

Wooden wall lights will have their lighting adjusted according to the room in which they are installed. For a workspace such as an office, functional lighting is essential. 3,500 lumens for around 30 watts is preferable. Ideally, the LED spotlight of the wall light should be aimed at the center of the desk.

Meanwhile, relaxation areas such as bedrooms should receive a brightness of around 2,500 lumens for 20 watts. Don't forget the color temperature either! 3,500 Kelvin is appropriate for creating a soothing atmosphere.

Please note that from our online stock, you can vary the light output using the dimmable bulbs we offer.

Can I install a wooden wall light in a damp room?

If you want a wooden chandelier or bathroom wall light, you will need to consider the required protection rating (IP44 or IP65)

Wood that is also protected against moisture is preferable, so that water does not enter the wood fibers and cause them to swell. The same applies to a kitchen wall light. Unlike a metal wall light or one made of stainless steel, you will need to consider this aspect.
