The crystal floor lamp: a brilliant and baroque model in spirit!

Originally, these indoor lamp models emerged in Europe in the 17th century, especially in France and Italy. Murano glass and Bohemian crystal were so popular that they can still be found today adorning certain retro vintage lamp models! Whether you want to illuminate your kitchen in addition to an already existing pendant light or wall sconce, or whether you want to make a floor lamp the centerpiece of your interior lighting, crystal is a striking, very stylish, and bold choice!

Crystal light fixtures instantly express luxury and elegance when you think of them and watch them illuminate a room. Crystal is a brilliant glass to which lead was added during manufacturing. The mixture offers a significant luminous effect, with extremely high light refraction.

It sparkles with a thousand lights even when it is turned off! This is why during the Baroque era, people loved to mount a chandelier with beautiful crystal pendalogues on the ceiling. Nowadays, the crystal floor lamp can also fit into a very modern interior decoration.

With its timeless design, you can place your crystal floor lamp like a bedside lamp, in a bedroom, or in a Nordic living room, for example. Among our wide range of lamps, we offer models with crystals on the lampshade.

What material is used for the base of the crystal floor lamp?

Generally, classic and traditional metals such as bronze, brass, satin nickel, or chrome are often used as a tripod or base. And so, in golden or sparkling silver colors, to contrast with the translucent design of the crystal. But we are also able to offer you distinctive models with a solid wood structure to create an authentic and warm touch with this highly refined material that is crystal!

Where to place a crystal floor lamp?

With a fairly high light intensity, the crystal floor lamp should be placed in a dark area where direct sunlight tends to fade quite quickly in the evening. This can be the case in a darkened kitchen, but also in a fairly spacious loft.

If you wish to place your crystal light fixture in a bedroom, we recommend in this case choosing a led bulb, with a fairly low number of watts so that the diffusion of brightness is quite measured.

Options are also available, somewhat inspired by Baroque chandeliers. Indeed, these light fixtures have a diverse color panel on each pendalogue of the chandelier. You can also choose a light fixture with various colors to soften the light intensity of the room. But also, creating indirect lighting by turning the crystal toward the wall to reflect the light is a wise choice to maintain a balanced light flow.

Modern-style crystal floor lamps

Modern models of crystal lamps to place are inspired by the trendiest shapes: curved, arched lines, or with a directional spotlight as directional lighting are some of the most contemporary models there are.
There are also lamps forming a duo or even a trio of two or three heads that illuminate in all directions.

Why have a crystal floor lamp at home

The advantage of the crystal floor light fixture is above all its ability to majestically illuminate a room. Whether as an accent lamp, or as a general lighting lamp, a large floor lamp in a contemporary living room or hallway will be a kind of reminder of times past.

Harmonizing the crystal lamp with the surrounding decoration

Floor lamps must fit into a certain form of decorative continuity. They must extend the atmosphere of your living room, while projecting a constant light flow without dazzling. The crystal models will surprise your guests, especially if the shiny lampshade has pendalogue or floral patterns, for example. More minimalist style models also exist, with round or conical lampshades.
