Bathroom spotlight

The bathroom spotlight: functional, practical, waterproof lighting!

Choosing your bathroom lighting carefully is extremely important. The light output must be proportional and diffuse a brightness similar to daylight so that you can apply makeup or style your hair in a relaxed and bright atmosphere.

Among our range, we offer all types of long-lasting spotlight lamps that you can recess into either the walls or the ceiling. The value for money of our products can adapt to any type of modern interior and will illuminate a living space as important as the bathroom according to your wishes.

What type of spotlight for the bathroom?

We primarily recommend LED spotlights. Not only for their low energy consumption, but also for their ability to adapt to any type of environment if you choose smart bulb models with integrated home automation. LEDs also hardly heat up, unlike a halogen model. Furthermore, the moisture resistance of these bulbs is much higher because they do not require a tungsten filament. The electroluminescent diode is therefore logically the choice we recommend first for a row of bathroom spotlights.

Swivel spotlights are also suitable for bathrooms, as they allow you to direct the light source wherever you want. A directional shade is generally attached to the spotlights so that it is very practical to orient the light.

The waterproofing of your bathroom spotlights

How can you talk about recessed lighting in a bathroom without mentioning their waterproofing! Regardless of whether you choose pendant lights, freestanding bedside lamps, or a recessed wall light, you absolutely need a certified IP65 technology to resist water splashes of varying intensity and ambient humidity.

Or recessing spotlights in the bathroom

Your lighting system must be recessed so that the light beam illuminates a specific area, namely the most important areas of the bathroom:

-The mirror: The refraction of the light beam in the mirror must be limited so that you are not dazzled. For this, favor a smoked glass spotlight, or one with a small matte white shade. You can also choose a bulb with a limited number of watts that does not dazzle.

-The bathtub: If you want a soft atmosphere with a soft light of a yellow color, opt for a color temperature dimmer, or spotlights in a temperature between 3500 and 4000 Kelvin.

-The sink: Often in the center of the bathroom, it is naturally illuminated by the wall spotlights on the sides, but generally, you can plan to install a spotlight above the sink to illuminate the center of the mirror if it is large.

Can you put a spotlight above the bathtub?

If the ceiling height is high enough (+ 2m), you can put a spotlight above your bathtub. This is to avoid being dazzled when you take a shower or a bath. You must therefore maintain a low luminance when you want to illuminate the bathtub.

However, to do this, you will need a ceiling lamp with an IP67 rating, like an outdoor spotlight. Given the proximity to water sources, this is essential.
